Crude, gold hit highs on Mideast woes

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Crude and vegetable oils surged to record highs on Tuesday, while gold hit a 28-year peak, supported by concerns about rising tensions in the Middle East and a struggling dollar.

All I can say is that it really doesn't matter - oil is such a critical part of our lives that we will pay whatever it costs - in the short term at least and the short term is a long time in my lifetime
