Medtronic’s decision to stop selling a widely used part for implanted heart devices underscores the dearth of safety monitoring of such products, as well as a design trend that may make them increasingly prone to failure, several experts said yesterday.

This seems a bit extreme, theres always 2 side to any story - I wonder what the other side is ? are they really so dangerous - this is peoples lives being played with surely the products will be made to the very highest standards - Unless they have done a deal with the Chinese !!! the quality might be a bit suspect - but look at the cheap price !!!
