Apple is definately doing something right

Apple is apparently doing great business at the moment. Things look to only be getting better too. I think a lot of their success is partly due to applying some characteristics to their products that us engineers hold close to our hearts. First off is their continual striving for simplicity and consistency which shows in nearly all of their products. They are constantly innovating in an effort to achieve this. Next is their ability to do things the way they want rather than the way everyone else does things. They are constantly pioneering new trends and changing the way we think.

I think engineers in general could learn a lot by looking at the practices of Apple.
