Nanomaterials will alter economies

 
Nanotechnology promises a range of new materials that are stronger,  lighter,  cheaper and in general just better than many existing materials.  You might think this is great news,  however to a lot of developing countries that depend on the export of materials that may soon be replaced this is worrying.  Nanotechnology offers engineers the ability to create materails with the precise characteristics they require.
