LG & Samsung shine in the Indian market

Clipped to the Drawing Board by John Chadwick

LG, Samsung have put their stamp of leadership on the electronic goods market in India with good customer care & high-end technology.
Korean companies, it seems, have proved their worth. After 10 long years in the Indian market, Korean giants like Samsung and LG have managed to make their presence felt in more than one segment.
When the Korean companies ventured into the India market, they were greeted with a lot of scepticism. It was a time when quite a few Indian brands were creating ripples in the market.

Why doesn't this suprise me ! - the methodology transends borders - get a good product at a good price with good quality - The Koreans learn well and implement well. I must say that I am suprised the Indians fell by the wayside, but there needs to be a discipline and ability to maintain a standard. Maybe they didn't have the fiscal support to go a longer distance. But quality has to be maintained and generally, the Korean products are good. They also are right up there with the technology - from what I see (and certainly Hyundai have done it with cars - eg Honda) they take on the Japs at there own game by copying a good product, maintaining the quality and selling it at a cheaper price

its horses for courses - India has produced well educated and very competent IT professionals for may years and they are known around around the world for their IT expertise - these arn't the guys who are going to be stood on the end of a production line and I'm guessing that these are completely different people - hence not being able to compete with the Koreans who are well known for dilligent production of components - particularly electronics - so it's easy to see why the Indian products didn't go too well
