NI contributes tools for robotics event
 
(SAN JOSE, Calif.) — National Instruments Corp. is bringing its software development tools for education to the First Robotics Competition.

NI's CompactRIO embedded control platform will be the robot controller for high school students that create advanced robots starting in the 2009 event, dubbed First. For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (First) is a nonprofit organization that aims at inspiring young people to be engineers, science and technology leaders.
