Unlike most mining projects, the preparation phase of the Nova Ventura mine occurred swiftly, taking less than a year to reach production from the birth of the company. This occurred because Nova Ventura's business model and ownership - by a US based investment bank that provides all the company's financing directly - allowed it to not waste any time.
