BASF to set up new engineering plastics plant, expand coatings lab in India

Did you know Trivia - LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany  - BASF SE said it will set up a new engineering plastics factory in the city of Thane and that it plans to expand its coatings facilities in Mangalore, both in India, to cater to the booming car industry in Asia.
In Thane, where BASF operates a plastics engineering lab, it will build an engineering plastics compounding plant that will enter service in the second half of 2009, the German chemical giant said.
