Export Approvals Open the Door for Russian Assembly of Eclipse 500 VLJs

Vern Raburn, founder, president and CEO of Eclipse Aviation (Booth 9463) announced Monday that the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security approved the export of the Eclipse 500 VLJ and aircraft components to Russia. Complementing U.S. approval, Canada's Export and Import Control Bureau authorized the export of Pratt & Whitney Canada's PW610F turbofan, the engine that powers the Eclipse 500, to Russia. The two approvals pave the way for Russia to construct an assembly facility for Eclipse 500 VLJ aircraft destined for Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
