Bullet train would reinvent wheel - or bus

They said it couldn't be done. They said America was too tired, too yesterday to pull off a technological miracle on this level.
They were wrong.
This column is being typed aboard a 21st-century marvel of transportation engineering known as a "bus." A few of our politicians might consider looking into them, assuming they can spare a few moments from snarfling through the stimulus pig trough for a shiny new choo-choo.
