Engineering Humor

I was looking over the site and thought that what we really need is more humor.
Good in theory, but how to put that thought into practise ?

Personally, I like humor which is clever,  or black humor or something a bit different.
There are many of the …
”There was and Engineer, an Account and a ???? “ (insert any profession) and the humor revolves  around the preconceived stereotype characteristics of each profession.
But after you've heard a few, they all follow a similar vein.
There are many of the jokes which focus on how an engineer is expected to “think and act” and the technical nature of the engineers logical thought process, but to be honest, having read one set, the rest are fairly repetitive and I struggle to find humor in that type of gag.

So where does that leave us.  I had a think and dug deep into my memory bank.  Unfortunately, as this is a family site, most of the jokes I remembered could not be repeated here.  I probably could not get away with the one about the fitter who only had 2 things in his tool box.  A big hammer and a condom.  If the job could not be fixed with a big hammer, his standard comment was well F%#@ It.
Or the fitter who wore condoms on his fingers because he F#$&ed everything he touched.  But I couldn't use that sort of material on this site either.

I like the one about the Non Conforming Sparrow who didn't want to fly South for Winter, though it's a bit hard to get an engineering slant on it.
The Bricks are clever, but well used.
Sneaky Secrets to becoming a successful Engineer is quite good and there are many of the “You know your an Engineer if ….......” type of gags going around

But what comes next ??  After a long hard think  .....................maybe we are a humorless bunch after all.
