Who am I

I was born 17th June 1898 in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands
I became a graphic artist
I am known for my (often) mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs and mezzotints
My works often featured impossible constructions, infinity and tessellations
My first print of an impossible reality was "Still Life and Street" in 1937
"Drawing Hands" is another well known example of my work
In 1941 I wrote my first paper, called "Regular Division of the Plane with Asymmetric Congruent Polygons"
My works include, Relativity, Waterfall, Hand with Reflecting Sphere
