everyone wants to be the "clever" country or whatever the latest buzz phrase is - pushing to get into the "hi tech" area - if thats where everyone is trying to be - maybe there are opportunities in the "low tech" areas for people who do it well and do it better - for example scrap metal and waste companies are doing really well - plumbers are always in demand and charge an exorbitantly high rate (if your toilets blocked and you need to go - the price to fix it is a minor issue) - anyway food for thought - sometimes, thinking outside the square gets a better result - I can think of lots of other examples of low tech jobs and industries which are doing very well - if they are done well.
