I had a disc problem a few years ago and suffered like hell - still got a bit - so anything which can fix some of the problems is a Godsend - go for it

A lot of basic engineering practice is in the mechanisms of the body as a whole and the back is a classic example of poor engineering design - the way it's designed for what most people do with it - it's always a problem waiting to happen - and the location of the sciatic nerve is just stupid - but we are stuck with it. So yes, anything which can be used to fix some of the problems is good - and if it's a cement - so be it - if it works
