funny how things change - i can remember the late 90's when the whole world was tech crazy and a huge bubble was building on anything tech - at that time Australian industry was based primarily on mining and Australia was seen as a backward country - the tech bubble burst - new economies have taken off and mining is the new "bubble" - how long before it bursts ??

one big difference is that much of the tech bubble was founded on speculation - mining is based on sound fundamentals
